I laugh easily; I smile and blush even easier. I am endlessly intrigued by all the things that we don't know about the world and universe around us. I can be sarcastic, but I am not cynical, and I shed my snarky outer skin at the drop of a hat. I love people, cats, plants, ideas, puzzles, and finding beauty in unexpected places.
I founded two companies, and they were the exact right thing for me to be doing at the time. Now I'm taking a step back and rediscovering this thing called "life," while working a regular software development job at a small-ish company full of people I really like.
Outside of work I bike, hike, travel, and learn more about the world and the people in it. I foster cats two at a time for a local foster organization. I read about far away places and sometimes I go to them.
I write (things in parentheses). Nonfiction, poetry, and fiction, and some of it I've even gotten published. I also write letters, and I enjoy exchanging witty banter on the page / screen.
